Aphrodisiacs

An Aphrodisiac is a substance that arouses or stimulates sexual desire. Certain foods are considered aphrodisiacs, but so can they be a scent (e.g vanilla or musk), certain music, or even materials (silk, satin, leather, etc.).

How does an Aphrodisiac work?

Aphrodisiacs work in two ways:

  • by stimulating the mind and thus increasing the desire for sex,
  • by affecting certain parts of the body. An aphrodisiac can increase blood flow to the sexual organs, thus simulating the sensations of sexual intercourse and creating a desire for it.
